What invoicing software actually costs over five years
Software is priced by the month and chosen for years. This page does the multiplication, shows the method, links every price to the vendor's own page, and says which ones we could not verify.
Quick answer
How much does invoicing software cost over five years?
Monthly price multiplied by 60. At entry-level single-user plans verified on August 23, 2026, that is $2,940.00 for Jobber Core, $4,740.00 for Housecall Pro Basic and $1,380.00 for FreshBooks Lite, before per-user charges, tax or price rises. Prepaying annually lowers some of those. A one-time licence such as Daily Invoice Maker at $149.95 does not recur.
Work it out for any plan
Put in whatever you are being quoted. Nothing is sent anywhere — the arithmetic runs in your browser.

The calculator assumes the price holds for the whole period. It generally will not — subscription prices rise, and a rise applies to every remaining month. Treat the total as the floor, not the ceiling.

Method, and what this does not tell you
- Cheapest single-user plan at each vendor, standard rate. Promotional first-months pricing is noted but not used, because it does not apply for the period being measured.
- Sales tax excluded throughout. Housecall Pro states its prices exclude it; assume the same everywhere.
- Payment processing fees excluded. On a product that takes a percentage of each invoice paid by card, those fees can exceed the subscription. They depend on your volume, so they are not in the table.
- Price rises are not modelled. Every figure assumes today's price holds for five years.
- This is arithmetic, not a recommendation. It says nothing about whether two products do the same job. A cheaper product you stop using costs more than an expensive one you keep.
